Reading:
Carpe Diem (Verses by Horace & Omar Khayam).
Our worries are eternal. Hence Horatio’s celebrated carpe diem: “Seize the day, place in the hours that come as little faith as you can,” which has been echoed over the centuries in every poetic form. As a token of this, I have chosen this short verse by the Persian polymath, Omar Khayam, written sometime between the 11th and 12th centuries.
This is what it says:
Be happy for this moment,
because this moment is your life.
—
Sé feliz por este momento,
porque este momento es tu vida.
